Steve Hawkes, MMS, PA-C

Steven Hawkes, MMS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant and SDPA diplomate fellow. Having worked in dermatology for the last 14 years in the Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, area, he is truly committed to ensuring that his experience at Vivida Dermatology will exceed all expectations.

Steven believes that establishing an open patient-provider relationship is essential for the very best medical care. He puts considerable thought and care into each patient visit. While skillfully handling each problem, he also focuses on how skin issues can affect a person’s life.

After discovering his love of dermatology in 2004, Steven has since been educated and trained by nationally respected dermatologists. From 2006 to 2013, he had the pleasure of assisting in training and education for the Valley Hospital Dermatology Residency Program. He was also a preceptor for Touro University Physician Assistant/Medical School in Henderson, Nevada. 

Steven has been involved in many dermatological studies and research projects, including those on rosacea, psoriasis, and acne. He has also been a national and local speaker on dermatological diseases and treatments and co-editor of a professional dermatology publication.

Steven was born and raised on a dairy farm in southeastern Idaho, where he developed a strong work ethic and compassionate nature at a young age. He completed his undergraduate studies at Utah State University in Logan and continued his education at Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, Illinois, earning a master’s degree in medical science.

Outside of the office, Steve enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Linda, who is 29 years old and has three children. He is an avid sports fan and speaks virtually all sports lingo. He actively serves in his church community and enjoys playing tennis as often as possible.
