PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)
Platelet rich plasma, also known as PRP, is an innovative way to renew and refresh the skin to achieve a more youthful appearance. PRP is derived by taking one’s own blood and separating the red blood cells from the blood serum. PRP is rich in growth factors and peptides that help to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue . When the serum is applied to the face, the development of collagen and elastin is stimulated giving the skin a fresh, revitalized appearance. . When this serum is injected into the scalp, the growth factors attract stem cells in order to stimulate the development of new hair follicles. PRP may be used in combination with facial rejuvenating procedures to improve final outcomes. This easy process is done in the comfort of our office by our highly trained medical staff.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Blood is drawn from a vein in the arm. This blood is then spun down in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich plasma. For facial rejuvenation procedures, a topical numbing medication is applied prior to the procedure which minimizes pain during the treatment. After the treatment, the PRP is applied to the skin for enhanced rejuvenation. For hair loss, the PRP is injected directly into the scalp.
TREATMENTS AVAILABLE WITH PRP

The Secret RF procedure combines micro-needling and radiofrequency to improve fine lines, skin texture, laxity, and pore size in a much less invasive fashion as compared with traditional skin resurfacing procedures, such as the CO2 laser. The Secret RF can also be used to treat acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. device’s handpiece contains several tiny needles which create controlled micro-injuries to the skin while simultaneously delivering radiofrequency pulses which heat the surrounding area. This stimulates the body’s healing system to rebuild the collagen and elastin in the area. When the Secret RF is combined with PRP, the benefits to improve the skin’s appearance are amplified. The micro-traumas allow the PRP to enter the skin, and the growth factors from the PRP enhance the skin’s own healing mechanisms.

The quickest and most effective way to improve fine lines and wrinkles is done with a fractional carbon dioxide (CO2) laser. The CO2 laser works through creating micro-holes in the skin and heating the surrounding collagen. The skin uses it natural healing processes to repair the damaged skin leading to long-term collagen rebuilding. This laser therapy can dramatically improve the appearance of wrinkles, skin texture, and skin laxity without the need for plastic surgery. These benefits are amplified when the procedure is done in combination with PRP. The micro-traumas allow the PRP to enter the skin, and the growth factors from the PRP enhance the skin’s own healing mechanisms.
